A DELEGATION OF 40 FRENCH PROGRAMMERS DISCOVERS NEW ARGENTINIAN STAGE CREATION

Following the 2024 Avignon Festival, where South American creation stood out with several Argentine works, France shows strong interest in Argentina’s performing arts scene.

From May 2 to 7, more than 40 French performing arts professionals from France, Europe, and South America visit Buenos Aires for a professional gathering organised by ONDA and curated by Argentine independent curator Cecilia Kuska. ONDA (Office National de Diffusion Artistique) is a French public body dedicated to supporting the circulation of both French and international performing arts within France. Programmers, festival and theatre directors, producers, and other cultural agents will explore the city to engage directly with the vitality of Argentina’s contemporary scene.

In a politically challenging context for the cultural sector, this initiative reaffirms the commitment of Franco-Argentinian cultural cooperation to strengthening ties between both artistic communities and supporting the international visibility of Argentinian artists.
