CECILIA KUSKA

Born in Buenos Aires, working between London, Brussels and Berlin

I started my career in the arts as an independent photographer, cinematographer and combined arts student, producing my exhibitions and short films. I quickly jumped into helping others produce their art, always keeping a sensitive and creative eye for details.

I’ve developed cultural projects around the globe. IN 2020

I founded a studio for working on contemporary artistic expressionS INTERNATIONALLY.

I’m currently PRODUCING AND co-curating the PROXIMAMENTE Festival- KVS Brussels City Theater & SERVING AS INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND CO-CURATOR OF Something Great. I also collaborate as an artistic advisor of INTERACTIONES, a theatre network between Italy, Spain, Albania, and South America by improving new forms of contemporary dramaturgy and exploring new modes of sustainable production and distribution.

My former roles include CO-CURATOR OF MITbr 2024 - INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SAO PAULO, CO-CURATOR OF artistic residencies at CAMPUS Paulo Cunha e Silva (new centre for artistic residencies and a workspace for the performing arts in the city of Porto.), CO-CURATOR AND PRODUCER OF CASA London’s Festival of Latin American Arts, co-curator AND ARTISTIC COORDINATOR of EULAT4Culture Belgium-Cooperative culture and creativity to address global challenges, co-Artistic Director of the first Polish Film Festival Buenos Aires, main Producer & Artistic Assistant of the Buenos Aires International Festival (FIBA), production director at FAENA ART centre and FAENA Festival, Programming Director of the Buenos Aires Cultural Management Ministry, dramaturg for Power talks III programme at the Het Theater Festival Gent and guest performing arts/ video art co-curator at Mid Atlantic Art, Festival Santiago a Mil and Carlow Arts Festival.

Throughout my 15-year career, I’ve been selected by the French Ministry of Culture to participate in the Seminar Cultural Institutions at the Service of Urban and Territorial Development (Paris and Bordeaux), by the European Festival Association and The Festival Academy for the Chiang Mai Atelier for Young Festival Managers (Thailand) and for the Atelier of Solidarity (online), by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for taking part at the cultural managers’ forum of the #54 Theatertreffen (Berlin) and by the British Council for WILD CONFERENCES (Leeds) and Festival Managers Seminar (Edinburgh). I’ve also participated in several performing arts festivals as an industry guest. I recently finished the course ¨Decolonization oF Artistic Practice and Curation¨ at node centre Berlin.
