CECILIA KUSKA CASTELLI

I am an Argentinian-born, globally active producer, curator, and cultural strategist whose work spans contemporary performance, cross-border collaboration, and institutional transformation. I currently serve as International Relations Manager at the KVS Royal Flemish Brussel City Theatre. As the founder of ROSA Studio and artistic coordinator and co-curator of Próximamente Festival at KVS in Brussels, I support artists within complex geopolitical landscapes by building platforms grounded in horizontal curatorial models and transnational exchange.

My career includes key roles across Europe and Latin America—curating, producing, and advising for major festivals, networks, and cultural institutions committed to new dramaturgies and post-colonial artistic practices.

I am also serving as artistic advisor for a diverse range of projects, as INTERACTIONES, a theatre network connecting Italy, Spain, Albania, and South America to explore new dramaturgies and sustainable production models. My recent work also includes curating a program in Argentina for ONDA (Office National de Diffusion Artistique), co-curating MITbr 2024 – International Theatre Festival of São Paulo, co-curating residencies at CAMPUS Paulo Cunha e Silva in Porto, and CASA Festival in London, a celebration of Latin American arts in the UK.

Throughout my career, I have taken on diverse leadership and curatorial roles: co-curator and International Relations at Something Great (Berlin), co-Artistic Director of the first Polish Film Festival in Buenos Aires, main producer and artistic assistant at FIBA – Buenos Aires International Festival, production director at Faena Art Center and Faena Festival, Programming Director at the Buenos Aires Ministry of Culture, dramaturg for Power Talks III at Het TheaterFestival Gent, and guest co-curator for video and performing arts at Mid Atlantic Arts - USA, Festival Santiago a Mil in Chile and Carlow Arts Festival in Ireland. I also co-curated and coordinated EULAT4Culture Belgium, a European-Latin American platform for cultural cooperation addressing global challenges through the arts.

I’ve been selected to participate in several prestigious international programs, including the Seminar on Cultural Institutions and Territorial Development by the French Ministry of Culture (Paris and Bordeaux), the Atelier for Young Festival Managers in Chiang Mai (Thailand), the Cultural Managers’ Forum at #54 Theatertreffen (Berlin) by the German government, and the WILD Conference and Festival Managers’ Seminar by the British Council (Leeds and Edinburgh). I recently completed the course Decolonisation of Artistic Practice and Curation at Node Centre, Berlin, and regularly participate in international performing arts festivals as an invited industry guest or panel speaker.
