I worked with Fernando Rubio, one of Argentina’s most renowned directors in the field of site-specific and performative art, whose works have toured extensively across the world. My collaboration with him took place across different roles, including executive producer, tour manager, and, on some occasions, assistant director during international tours.
His works explore democratic ways of occupying and reimagining public space, creating intimate and collective experiences that unfold in direct relationship with each city and its communities. Because many of his pieces are developed with local performers, my work also involved coordinating casting processes in each city, engaging with local contexts, and supporting the construction of an urban dramaturgy specific to each place.
Through this collaboration, I contributed to the production and touring of works that activate public space as a site of encounter, participation, and poetic reflection, connecting local performers, audiences, and urban landscapes through situated performative practices.
